GREGORY STOWELL, West Des Moines

Funeral services for Gregory Stowell, 17, were held Fri., Oct. 18 at Plymouth Congregational United Church of Christ. He died of a gunshot wound October 15, 1991. The death was ruled a suicide.

He lived in Des Moines all his life until moving to West Des Moines three months ago. A student at Hoover High Schol, he was active in basketball and baseball. He was employed by the Foot Locker.

Surviving are his mother and step-father, Judy and William Chaplin of West Des Moines; his father, Roger of Des Moines; two step-sisters, Angela Chaplin of West Des Moines and Jacquelyn Chaplin of Dallas, Texas; and grandparents, Ernest and Dorothy Stowell of Winterset.

Burial was at Resthaven Cemetery.
