CHARLES STOUT, Patterson, Dies

Charles A. Stout, a well-known farmer in the Patterson community for many years, died Sunday, Sept. 25, 1960, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. He was 80 years of age.

Mr. Stout was a life-long resident of this county. He was born here Nov. 30, 1879, a son of John and Sarah Jones Stout. His active life was spent in farming, but since his retirement he had made his home with his daughter, Mrs. Ida Boyd of Winterset.

He was married in 1906 at Patterson to Cora Lane. Her death occurred in 1926.

Mr. Stout leaves two sons, Hoyle N. Stout of Long Beach, Calif., and Harold L. Stout of Bellflower, Calif.; the daughter Mrs. Boyd of Winterset; two grandchildren; and one great grandchild.

Funeral services were held from the Richards Funeral home Wednesday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Robert A. Owens, pastor of the Winterset Christian church. Burial was to be made in the I.O.O.F. cemetery at Indianola.
