Frances E. McClure, Winterset

Frances E. McClure, 92, died of a heart ailment Oct. 9, 2000, at Winterset Care Center South.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 12 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with the Rev. Bill Branson officiating. Visitation will be held today (Wednesday, Oct. 11) from noon to 8 p.m. with the family present from 6-8 p.m. Burial will be at St. Charles Cemetery.

Frances McClure was born May 30, 1908 to W. F. and Effie (McDaniel) Armstrong of Churchville. She married Harley McClure on June 23, 1926 in Indianola. As well as being a homemaker, she had been a cook for the Interstate 35 Community School District. Frances was a member of the St. Charles Parish and a neighborhood card club.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by five sons, Boyd McClure (wife Marlyn) of Nokesville, Va., Harold McClure (wife Patty) of Indianola, Ted McClure (wife Donna) of Lenexa, Kan., Dale McClure (wife Judy) of St. Charles and David McClure (wife Ruth) of Monroe; a sister, Harriet Cline of Chillicothe, Mo.; a brother, Mike Armstrong of Madras, Ore.; 17 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be directed to her family.
