Dorothy McClure, Marshalltown

Dorothy Irene Armstrong McClure, 67, of Marshalltown, died Jan. 13, 1996 at the Marshalltown Hospital. Funeral services are today Jan, 17 at 11 a.m. at the St. Charles Cemetery. The Rev. Tom Bower will officiate.

She was born in Liberty on Aug. 23, 1928 to Pete and Ella Cole Armstrong. She married Frank McClure on Dec. 19, 1963 in Osceola. She was a housekeeper and lived in Marshalltown for 12 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son; and one brother.

Surviving relatives include six sisters, Fern Lyman of San Fernando, Calif., Hattie O'Brien of Kansas City, Kan., Bertha Veasman of Indianola, Shirley Addy of Marshalltown, Bonnie Northcutt of Newton, and Janet Strable at St. Charles; two brothers, Bob Armstrong of Portland, Ore., and Wayne Armstrong of Berryville, Ark.; and friend, Ryan Dick of Marshalltown.
