Wednesday, December 4, 1968MILDRED MCCLINTOCK DIES AT 92 YEARS
Mildred McClintock of Winterset died Wednesday Nov. 27, at Memorial hospital in Winterset. She was 92 years of age and had been in failing health for several years.
Miss McClintock was a native of this community, being born here Aug. 12, 1876, a daughter of Silas W. and Anna C. Gunlock McClintock. Her active life was spent in teaching and she was a teacher in the Denver schools for many years. Following her retirement, she returned to Winterset to make her home.
She was a member of the First United Presbyterian church of Winterset. She was affiliated with the P.E.O. and the Rebekah lodge.
Nearest surviving relatives are eight nieces and two nephews; and a sister-in-law, Mrs. Rex McClintock of Pasa Rose, Calif.
The body was to be cremated and burial services were to be held in the Winterset cemetery at a time to be announced later. The Rev. John E. Fink, pastor of the First United Presbyterian church, was to conduct the grave-side services. The family requested that memorials be given to the church in place of flowers.
