Hazel G. McClain, Winterset

Services for Hazel G. McClain, 65, Winterset, who died June 15 at the Bethesda Care Center where she resided, will be held on Thursday, June 19, at 10:30 a.m. at the United Methodist Church in Lorimor with the Rev. Bob Epperson officiating. Burial will be in the Winterset Cemetery.

Born in Winterset Oct. 25, 1920, she was the daughter of Albert and Gladys Newport Peterson. She was married to John C. McClain on April 5, 1939 a the Winterset Christian Church.

Mrs. McClain spent most of her lifetime in Madison County and was a housewife.

Survivors include a daughter, Alexis McKeever and husband, Jerry of Lorimor; a brother, John A. Peterson of Lorimor; sisters, Ruby I. Kirk of Lorimor, Nevona Lehman of Des Moines and Opal M. Bishop of Martinez, Calif.; a grandchild and great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.

Visitation will be held until 9:00 p.m. Wednesday.
