Maud McCauley, Winterset

A funeral service was held Monday, July 19 at Collins Funeral Home for Maud McCauley of Winterset, who died July 17 at Madison County Memorial Hospital. She was 94 years old.

Born in Madison county on Sept. 1, 1887, she was the daughter of Josephus and Martha Spurgin Harrell.

Mrs. McCauley was married twice. In 1908, she married Wilbur Charles Utsler in Winterset. Mr. Utsler died in 1926. In 1930 she married A. Dick McCauley in Fairmont, Minnesota. Mr. McCauley passed away in 1973.

Also preceding her in death were her parents and a son, John Utsler in 1973. Survivors include three sons, Joe Utsler of Winterset, Merl Utsler of Carlisle and Dick McCauley of San Diego, Calif.; 17 grandchildren, 28 great grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Rev. Byron Ayers officiated at the funeral service. Burial was in Winterset Cemetery.
