Services for Alberta McCauley, 63, Winterset, who died Nov. 27 at the Care Center North where she resided, were held Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 30 at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Keith Noll officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.

Born on June 28, 1925 at Mt. Ayr, Iowa, she was the daughter of James and Agnes Reynolds Johnston. She had lived in Winterset the past 49 years coming from Mt. Ayr. She was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church and was a homemaker.

She married James Scott McCauley on Aug. 14, 1947 at the Open Bible Church in Des Moines.

Survivors include brothers, Donald and Delbert Johnston, both of Winterset and Duane Johnston of Council Bluffs; and sisters, Roberta Todd of Denver, Colo., Annie Collins, Lucy Smith and Sharon Clyde all of Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, three brothers and a sister.
