She was united in marriage to Ed S. Jones March 1, 1921 at Redfield in her parents; home. They farmed near Redfield until 1942 when they moved to a farm north of Earlham. In 1970 they moved into Earlham. This past month they celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary.

One daughter, Berneita, was born to them. Those who will especially cherish memories of her are her companion Ed, daughter Berneita, son-in-law Marion Patience, granddaughters Ruth Santee and Rita, grandson Lance, grandson-in-law Stephen Santee and foster grandson Jeff. Several nieces and nephews and many friends and neighbors will also miss her.

For many years Pauline was a member of the Sunshine Circle enjoying the sewing and fellowship of the meetings when she was able to attend.

As a child she was brought up in the Christian faith in the Methodist church. Later she joined the Panther Creek United Brethren church. After moving to the Earlham area her membership was changed to the Bear Creek Evangelical Friends church. She was active in various departments of the church. She taught a Sunday School class for a number of years spending much time in prayer and preparation each week. Pauline loved her Lord and was well acquainted with her Bible. Hers was a living sustaining faith. She is now gone from this world to be with her Savior but the influence and sweetness of her life will live on.

Memorial services were held at the Bear Creek Friends church; Monday, April 11, at 10:00 a.m., Rev. Kenneth Santee officiating. Marie Cook was organist accompanying the congregation in the song, “How Great Thu (Thou) Art.”
