CORA NEFF JONES

Cora Neff Jones has passed from the land of earthly shadows into that realm where there is no night.

She was born September 28, 1869 in Penn township, Madison county, Iowa. The second daughter of Isaac D. and Nancy Payne Neff.

While here she was a very active worked in the church, she is well known for her Sunday School class. The good times had in her class are remembered today by many who sat under her teaching.

On June 20, 1900 she was united in marriage with Chester L. Jones. Into the home thus formed, two children were born, Helen and Byron, who survive her.

From 1900 to 1904 the home was in Jackson township, near Pitzer. Then they moved to the farm in Penn township. Here the family circle was broken when the husband and father passed away on June 11, 1934.

In the spring of 1942 she moved to Boone and here she departed from this life at the hospital in Boone, Sunday, April 4, 1954 at the age of 84 years and seven months.
