Nalda Blanche Lyon, 78, died Jan. 10, 2002 of cancer at Regency Care Center in Norwalk.

Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 14 at Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset with Pastor Dwayne Madsen officiating. Burial was at Union Chapel Cemetery, South Township, Madison County.

Nalda Lyon was born April 12, 1923, in Madison County to Jacob A. and Viola Zion (Hope) Lyon. A graduate of Patterson High School she had resided in Des Moines for most of her adult life. Nalda had been a commercial printer for the Des Moines Register for many years, retiring in the mid 1980s.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and a sister.

She is survived by several nieces and in-laws.
