Mary Kay Lyon, 47, of rural Van Meter died of cancer June 16, 1999 at her home.

Funeral services were held Saturday, June 19, at St. Patrick's Irish Settlement Catholic Church in Madison County with Father John O. Bertogli officiating. Burial was at St. Patrick's Irish Settlement Cemetery.

Mary Kay Lyon was born July 17, 1951 to Murray and Catherine (Matyja) Becker of Logan. She married Ronald Dale Lyon on June 24, 1972 in Logan. A resident of Madison county for the past 27 years, Mary Kay was an accountant for Humiston, Skokan, Warren and Eichenberger in West Des Moines. She was a member of St. Patrick's Irish Settlement Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Murray Becker and her mother, Catherine Becker-Fagan.

She is survived by her husband; three sons, Ron, Jeremy and Chad Lyon, all of Van Meter; two daughters, Angela and Stephanie Lyon, both of Van Meter; two brothers, Ken Becker of Logan and Bill Becker of Omaha, Neb.; and two sisters, Jeanette Becker of Des Moines and Diane Adkins of Council Bluffs.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Hospice of Central Iowa or St. Patrick's Irish Settlement Catholic Church.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Collins Funeral Home in Winterset.
