RUSSELL KNIGHT BURNED TO DEATH
Former St. Charles Man Is Victim of Gas Stove Explosion
St. Charles--(Special)--Russell Knight, aged 35, of Omaha, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. S. Knight of St. Charles, was killed Jan. 11 when a gas stove exploded in his room. He was burned so severely that he died before reaching the hospital.
Mr. Knight was born and reared in St. Charles. He graduated from the Weldon high school, and since 1933 had been employed in the insulating business in Omaha.
In addition to his parents, he leaves a daughter, Shirley Jean Knight; two sisters, Mrs. Arminta Brandt of Victor, and Mrs. Betty Coutts of Des Moines.
Funeral services were held from the St. Charles Methodist church in charge of the pastor, the Rev. George Buchanan, and burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
