Services for Kenneth Eugene Lowe, 66, Carlisle, former Truro resident who died at Mercy Hospital Medical Center Oct. 16, were held at Kale Funeral Home, Truro, today (Wednesday, Oct. 19) with the Rev. John Long of Indianola officiating. Burial was at the Fields Cemetery in Clarke County.
Born Dec. 12, 1916, at Truro he was the son of Perry and Lois Violet Neidt Lowe. He attended Truro schools and was married to Wilma Moss. He was a sheet metal worker for 15 years with the Waldinger Corp., in Des Moines but retired in 1982. He lived in Truro until 1977 when he moved to the Hartford and Carlisle area. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie No. 190 and the Hartford Sportsman's Club.
Survivors include his second wife, the former Wilma Marie Clary; a son, Robert Lowe of Billings, Mont.; daughters, Marna Gunther and Virginia Paul, both of Des Moines; stepsons, Gerald Hatfield of Anderson, Mo., and Jerry Van Zee and wife Betty of Carlisle; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Dick and Bill Lowe, both of Des Moines, and Jerry Lowe of New Virginia; and his mother, Lois of Osceola.
He was preceded in death by his father, his first wife, a brother and a stepson.
