WILLIAM A. DOAN DIED HERE SUNDAY

Long Time Resident Confined to Hospital Bed for Many Weeks

William A. Doan, a long-time resident of Madison county, died at the Winterset hospital Sunday after a long illness. He was 61 years of age.

Mr. Doan was born April 23, 1881, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Doan. Most of his life was spent in Patterson, but for the past several years he had made his home in Winterset.

Nearest surviving relatives are his three sisters, Mrs. Perry Knowles, Mrs. Frank Sowash and Mrs. Edna Clarke.

Funeral services were held from the Methodist church in Pattterson Tuesday in charge of the Rev. L. D. Brown. Burial was made in the Union Chapel cemetery.
