ED STROEBER, Dallas Center

Edward William Stroeber died Monday, May 10, 1982. He ws born November 2, 1919 to Edward Adam and Hazel Stroeber at Thayer, Ia. Edward farmed for 15 years in the Macksburg area, then he operated service stations, first in Adel for four years, and then for 10 years in Dallas Cener. He also drove a school bus for 12 years for Dallas Center-Grimes schools.

On June 22, 1940, at Adair, Elva Forsyth and Edward Stroeber were united in marriage.

He was preceded in death by his father, and a sister, Betty Johnson.

Survivors include his wife Elva, his mother Hazel Stroeber; two sons, Edward L. of Adel and Ray D. of California; one daughter, Janet Stroeber, of South Carolina; one brother, Robert Stroeber, of West Des Moines and one sister, Mary Schulz of near Greenfield along with four granddaughters, one grandson and one great granddaughter.
