Graveside services for Velcie Cecelia Street, 90, formerly of Peru who died March 2, 1989, at the Bethesda Care Center where she resided, were held Friday, March 3, at the Peru Cemetery with the Rev. Clifford Haider of Osceola officiating.
Born Sept. 2, 1898 at Peru, she was the daughter of Anderson and Martha Sawhill Fenimore. She was married to James Street on Feb. 29, 1920 in Winterset.
She was a housewife and a member of the World War I veterans auxiliary.
Survivors include sisters, Flossie Herwehe of Norwalk, and Mrs. Mary Mesnier of San Diego, Calif.; and brothers, Bryan and Clair Fenimore of Peru.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1983 and an infant daughter.
