Services for James O. Street, 85, Osceola, who died July 14, 1983, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, were held Monday, July 18 at the Kale Funeral Home, Osceola with the Rev. Clifford Haider officiating. Burial was at the Peru cemetery.
He was born Jan. 15, 1898 at Savannah, Mo., the son of William and Anna Oveson Street. He attended the Savannah schools and married Velcie Fenimore Feb. 19, 1920 in Winterset.
A World War I veteran, a member of Barracks, and the Christian Church of Ssavannah, he had been a resident of Osceola for the past 20 years.
Survivors include his wife. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, six half brothers and a half sister.
