Wednesday, June 7, 1976John Henry Wiedmann, 81, a lifetime resident of Madison County who worked as assistant custodian at the Winterset City Park for 13 years, died Monday, May 31, 1976, at Madison County Memorial Hospital. He was born April 14, 1895, in Madison County.
Mr. Wiedmann's parents were John Wiedmann and Julia Hanrahan Wiedmann. His marriage to Mildred M. Bindel took place February 26, 1935, in Madison County.
Survivors include his wife, Mildred and ten children; Rose Rinkert of Patterson, Iowa. Glen Wiedman, Helen Wiedman, Johnny Wiedman, Joan Haines and Beverly Maxwell, all of Winterset, Dorothy Bear of Weldon, Iowa, Edith Jacobs of New Virginia, Judy Vils of Portage, Wisconsin, and Kathy Wiedman of Ayers, Massachusetts.
Also surviving are two sisters, Mary Wiedmann and Elizabeth Brick of Churchville, Iowa and Charles Wiedmann of Des Moines.
Funeral services for John Henry Wiedmann were conducted Friday, June 4, at 10 a.m. from St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset, Msgr. William McMahon presiding.
Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Thursday, June 3, at Collins Funeral Home.
Burial was made at the Winterset Cemetery.
