Purscell Services Here Monday

Marion O. Purscell, a resident of Madison County most of his life, died Thursday, July 10, 1975, at Veterans Administration Hospital in Des Moines. He was 75 years of age.

Mr. Purscell was born January 6, 1900 in Winterset, the son of Charlie Purscell and Dicia Weaber. His occupations included farming and foundry work. He was a veteran of World War I.

On April 4, 1936, Mr. Purscell was married to Vera Heath in Winterset. Survivors include Mrs. Purscell and a son, Raymond Purscell of Fort Worth, Texas.

Also surviving are three grandchildren, and a half-sister, Mrs. Eleanor (Acie A.)Wilson of Creston, Iowa. Mr. Purscell was preceeded (preceded) in death by his father, stepmother, two sons and two brothers.

Funeral services for Mr. Purscell were conducted Monday, July 14, 1975 at 1 p.m. from Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with burial at the Primitive Baptist Cemetery, Winterset. V. F.W. graveside services were observed. The Rev. Phill Hall officiated.
