Lienemann Services Held

Funeral services for Alfred Lienemann, life-long resident of Jefferson township in Madison County, were held Feb. 7, from Trinity Lutheran Church, rural Van Meter.

Alfred William Lienemann, the only child of William B. and Katherine Boos Lienemann, was born March 30, 1909, in Jefferson Township where hs lived his entire life. In 1916, he moved to the farm where he lived until his death.

He died on Monday, Feb. 2, at his farm at the age of 71 years.

He was baptized and confirmed in Trinity Lutheran Church, where he remained an active member and choir participant all his life.

In 1928 he graduated from the Van Meter High School where he participated in music and sports.

He was married to Emma Scheele of Waco, Nebraska, on April 8, fifty years ago. A son, William and a daughter, Jean, were born to this marriage.

He is survived by his wife; his children, Bill and Ann Lienemann, Jean and Duane Richardson; seven grandchildren; and a great granddaughter.
