ANGELA LIBBY DIED THURSDAY

Mrs. Angela M. Libby of Winterset died here last Thursday, Jan. 2, at the age of 76 years.

Mrs. Libby had been a resident of Madison county practically all her life, since coming here with her family when she was 7 years of age.

She was a native of Illinois, where she was born July 6, 1892, a daughter of William David and Mary A. Hall Preston. She was married at Winterset March 28, 1911 to Albert R. Libby. He preceded her in death in 1955.

She was a member of the Church of Christ in this community.

Mrs. Libby was the mother of seven children, the oldest of whom, Mary, preceded her in death. The surviving children are: Francis Libby of Streeter, Ill., Harold Libby of Winterset, Mrs. Inez Harrell of Winterset, Mrs. Ruth Bush of Macksburg, Mrs. Eloise Harrell of Osceola, and Mrs. Betty Stephenson of Peru.

She also leaves 29 grandchildren, 49 great grandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Amy Armstrong of Des Moines.

Funeral services were held Monday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset, conducted by the Rev. Richard Hempenius, pastor of the Peru Methodist church.

Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
