Otho Imes was born in Pennsylvania October 26, 1829 and died at the county farm Thursday, March 7, 1907, at the age of 77 years, 4 months and 9 days. The burial was made at the Baptist cemetery north of Winterset on Friday. The deceased had been an inmate of the county farm for five years, having been in frail health and unable to provide for himself. His fatal illness was due to the grip.

Otho Imes was born in Green county, Pennsylvania, October 24, 1829. He was united in marriage in 1858 to Mary Pettit. To this union was born four children, 1 of whom was present at the funeral. The eldest is now living in Milwaukee, Wisc., one in Colo., and one is dead. He died March 7 at 6 a.m. The remains were laid to rest in the Baptist cemetery north of town.
