Death Caused by Injuries Received in Fall Six Years Ago
Lloyd Wayne Storrs, son of Mr. and Mrs. Colomor Storrs, recently of Winterset, died at the home of his parents, in Des Moines last Thursday, at the age of 21 years.
The young man had lived most of his life in Winterset. His death was due to osteomylitis, with which he was afflicted about six years ago as the result of injuries sustained in a fall.
He is survived by his parents; three sisters, Mrs. John Williams of Wahoo, Nebr., and Wilma and Dorothy Storrs of Des Moines; and his grandmother, Mrs. Margaret Storrs of Winterset.
Funeral services were held Saturday from the Anderson home for funerals in Winterset, in charge of the Rev. Von Elbert, pastor of the Winterset Baptist church. Burial was made in the cemetery here.

Death Climaxed Six Year Illness. Formerly Lived in Winterset.
Lloyd Wayne Storrs, 21-year-old son of Mr. and Mrs. Colomor Storrs of Des Moines, former residence of Winterset, died at his home at 2423 York Ave., Thursday. His death resulted from a six year illness of osteomolitis, following an injury.
Lloyd Wayne Storrs was born June 26, 1921 in Winterset and died at the age of 21 years, 2 months and 1 day. All of his life was spent in Winterset until the family moved to Des Moines about two months ago, his father being employed at the Ordnance plant.
Wayne attended the Winterset public schools until he became ill six years ago. His favorite hymns were “The Old Rugged Cross” and “In The Garden”.
Surviving relatives are his parents, three sisters, Wilma and Dorothy of Des Moines and Mrs. John Williams of Wahoo, Nebraska; one grandmother, Mrs. Margaret Storrs and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the Anderson funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Von Elbert, pastor of the Baptist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
