MARY T. MCBRIDE, Winterset

Services for Mary T. McBride, 59, Winterset, who died Feb. 6, 1989, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center, will be held Thursday, Feb. 9 at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Frank Palmer and the Rev. James J. McBride officiating. Burial will be at the St. Francis Cemetery in Dyersville.

Born in Dubuque County on May 28, 1929, she was the daughter of Edward and Laura Gerken Klostermann. She had been employed as a secretary and bookkeeper at Baur Farms Inc. at Van Meter.

She was married to Walter Scherbring, who died Oct. 22, 1971. She was married to Harry McBride on May 28, 1973 at Dyersville.

Mrs. McBride had lived here the past
three and half years in Winterset, coming from Burlington. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church, was president of the Women's Club; treasurer of the Winterset American Legion Auxiliary and organist at the church.

Survivors include her husband, Harry of Winterset; a son, Michael of Tipton; daughters, Laurie J. Dykstra of Pella, Michelle M. Kluesner of Luxemburg, Lynne M. Scherbring of Iowa City, Margaret M. McBride of West Burlington, and Patricia Jo McBride of Hiawatha; a sister, Florabelle Rahe of Dyersville; and four grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, a grandchild, a brother and a sister.
