MACK LEACH OF ST. CHARLES DIES

Farmer There 18 Years Dies at University Hospital in Iowa City

Mack J. Leach, well-known resident of the St. Marys community, died Saturday, Oct. 27 at the State University hospital in Iowa City. He was 60 years of age.

Mr. Leach had farmed in Warren county, near St. Marys for the last 18 years. He was born Jan. 27, 1902 at Atwater, Ill., a son of Jasper and Fannie Goodson Leach.

He was a member of the Methodist church.

Mr. Leach was married at Winterset Nov. 7, 1926 to Hazel McCauley, who survives him. He also leaves a son, Phillip W. Leach of St.Charles; five grandchildren; three brothers, Frank Leach of Selah, Wash., Henry Leach of Windom, Minn., and Ed Leach of Des Moines; and four sisters, Mrs. Veva McDonald of Afton, Mrs. Ruth Wambold of Afton, Mrs. Edna Shipley of Texas and Mrs. Marie Coover of Chicago.

Funeral services were held Monday from the St. Charles Methodist church, in charge of the Rev. Howard Cho. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
