R. D. Lawrence Death Tuesday

A native of Truro, Roy D. Lawrence, 88, died Thursday September 2, 1976, at Madison County Memorial Hospital. He was born August 21, 1888, the son of Milton C. and Mary Ann McPherson Lawrence.

Educated in the Truro schools, Mr. Lawrence was married June 17, 1910 to Beryl Garst. He was a 50 year member of the Des Moines Golf and Country Club and a member of Pioneer Lodge No. 22 AF and AM of Des Moines and the Za Ga Zig Temple of Des Moines.

Survivors include his wife, Beryl and a sister, Mrs. Nell Milligan of Des Moines of Des Moines.

Mr. Lawrence was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Mrs. Fern Wilkinson and Mrs. Perl Krell.

Funeral services for Roy Lawrence were conducted Saturday, September 4 from Kale Funeral Home in Truro at 1:30 p.m., Rev. David Wagner officiating. Burial was made at the Hartman Cemetery, Truro.
