1962Autopsy Conducted in Death of Macksburg Woman at Age of 38 Years
Mrs. Cyrus B. Lattig of Macksburg, 38-year-old mother of four children, died Saturday, Nov. 17, at Madison County Memorial hospital in Winterset.
Cause of death has not been definitely determined at this time. She was found in a coma at her home by her husband, and taken to Memorial hospital where her death occurred. County Coroner Paul Eggleston has made an investigation, and an autopsy was conducted. Official report on the autopsy was not available early this week.
Mrs. Lattig was the former Eugenia Marie Saxton, daughter of Chester Saxton, now of Mishawka, Ind., and the present Mrs. Cleo Libby of Lorimor. She was born in Grand River township June 26, 1924. She was married Dec. 16, 1940 at Maryville, Mo., to Cyrus Lattig, who survives her.
She has been employed recently at the Aldo cafe in Winterset. She was a member of the Methodist church.
In addition to her husband and her father and mother, she leaves a son, Richard B. Lattig, a student at Creston Junior college; 3 daughters, Sandra Sue, Susan Marie and Sheila Jean Lattig, all at home; a brother, Harry Saxton of Lorimor; and a half brother, David Libby of Lorimor.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Macksburg Methodist Church, conducted by the Rev. Donald Frank. Burial was made in Moon cemetery.
