BYRON PACE DIED SUDDENLY SUNDAY

Long-Time Local Resident Victim of Heart Attack in Des Moines

Byron Pace, a resident of Madison county for most of his life, died Sunday in Des Moines where he had been living the past two years. He was 52 years of age.

Mr. Pace was the son of George and Emmaline Pace, and was born in Winterset on Aug. 29, 1890. He was married in July, 1910, to Miss Ruth Beard. They were the parents of nine children, three of whom preceded the father in death.

His death Sunday came suddenly, and was due to a heart attack.

He is survived by his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Mildred Lyon of Winterset, Mrs. Loraine Miles of Des Moines, Mrs. Pauline Byg of Jefferson, and Shirley Pace at home; two sons, Lawrence Pace of the U.S. navy and Bob Pace at home; two sisters, Mrs. Nettie Harrison and Chesela Pace of Winterset; and a brother, Burns Pace of Winterset.

Funeral services were held Tuesday from Anderson's home for funerals in Winterset, in charge of the Rev. W. A. Samp, pastor of the Methodist church. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
