REV. FRANCIS SWIFT, Illinois

Funeral services were held Friday, May 21, at Techny, Illinois for Rev. Francis P. Swift, who died May 19, 1982, at the age of 66.

Born near Churchville, Iowa on Oct. 8, 1915, he was ordained into the priesthood on Aug. 15, 1944 in Techny. Rev. Swift was a missionary in New Guinea for nearly 30 years. He returned to Churchville and was parish priest there from Jan. of 1977 until Sept. of 1979.

Survivors include a cousin Hilda Wallace of Winterset.

Burial was at Techny Cemetery in Illinois.
