Death Of NELLIE E. MILLER SWESEY

Nettie E. Miller was born February 27, 1870, near Truro, Iowa, on the old family homestead and died Oct. 18, 1906, near the spot where she was born. She was married to Charles Swesey on Nov. 9, 1904. She was taken sick on Saturday and her death occurred on the following Thursday.

She was converted and joined the Methodist Episcopal church at the age of fourteen. A more consistent christian life and a purer character was not to be found in this community. Seldon have we met with one who was more thoroughly prepared to meet her Savior.

Her mother died several years ago and since that time, Nettie has remained in the home and tenderly cared for her aged father, who with her devoted husband, one brother and a host of friends are left to mourn her loss.

The funeral service was conducted by her pastor, L. B. Carpenter, at the home where she was born, lived and died, on Saturday afternoon, October 20, and her remains laid to rest in the Young cemetery at Truro.
