Union Chapel Special, December 5th
Little Cleo Ray, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lathrum passed away Friday night, December 2nd after a few days illness. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon, December 4th at the home and burial was in Union Chapel cemetery.
Those attending from a distance were Mrs. Ralph Williams and Mrs. Will Shoemaker of Winterset, Alva Wright, Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Morse and Mrs. Myrtle Ramsey and son Lyle and Mr. and Mrs. Millard McCleary and daughter Lenore and Nita McKibban all of Earlham.

Cleo Ray, son of Walter and Muriel Lathrum, was born December 20, 1931, and died December 3, 1932 at the age of thirteen months, after a short illness.
He is survived by his parents and a brother John, his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. David Lathrum, and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Morse, two great grandmothers and one great great-grandmother.
Funeral services were held at the home December 4. Burial was in Union Chapel cemetery.
