Caroline "Carrie" Lathrum, 92, died Fri., Sept. 6 at Madison County Memorial Hospital, Winterset. Services were held September 9 at the St. Charles Parish Church, where she was a member.
A resident of St. Charles for most of her life, she was born August 4, 1899 to William and Martha (Dickey) Picken. She married Glen Lathrum, August 9, 1922 in Osceola. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Lathrum was preceded in death by her parents, an infant son, two brothers, two sisters, and one great-grandson.
Surviving are her husband; a daughter, Delores Van Dike of Norwalk; a son, Robert of St. Charles; a sister, Margaret Jones of Winterset; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in St. Charles Cemetery.
