Wilbur A. "Slim" Lane, Winterset

Services for Wilbur A. "Slim" Lane 87, Winterset, who died April 20 at the Bethesda Care Center, were held Wednesday morning, April 24, at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Byron Ayers officiating. Burial was in the Winterset Cemetery.

Born at North Haven, Conn., on June 22, 1897, he was the son of Wilber and Lizzie Tuttle Lane. He was a retired farmer and a mechanic and parts man for Allis Chalmers and Brittain's Standard Parts.

Mr. Lane had lived in Winterset since 1950 and was a member of the Methodist Church. On Aug. 20, 1955, he married Ethel Faye Rosenbaugh at Adel.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Annabelle Graham of Palm Beach, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a son.
