Rose Stuart, former resident of Winterset and Madison County, died April 14 after a long illness at Beth Israel Hospital in Denver, Colo.
She was born Sept. 1, 1923 to Eljay and Mary Jane Hathaway at Shannon City, Iowa.
She is survived by her husband James; two sons, Kenneth McKinney of Macksburg and Charles Stuart of Thornton, Colorado; two daughters, Judy Eastin of Sterling Colorado and Ami Beahm of Thornton, Colorado; eight grandchildren, three brothers and seven sisters.
Preceding her in death were both parents, a brother and infant son.
