Mrs. Charles W. Landers of Denver, Colo., a former resident of Winterset, died Sunday, May 26, at her home in Denver. She was 58 years of age.
Mrs. Landers was the former Dorothy M. Parkins, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Parkins. She was born in Winterset June 4, 1901. She attended the Winterset schools and was married to Charles W. Landers of Winterset in 1928. They moved to Denver in 1933.
Her husband died in 1961. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Barbara Neighbors of Longmont, Colo.; two grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Velma Algoe of Des Moines and Mrs. Marion Cameron of Winterset.
Mrs. Landers was with Fashion Bar stores in Denver for 26 years, serving as a store manager.
The body was cremated and funeral services held last Friday from the Olinger Mortuary in Denver. Mrs. Cameron flew to Denver Thursday, returning home last Friday. Mrs. Clarence Algoe and daughter, Mrs. Phyllis Carey of Des Moines, attended the services also.
