Charlotte (Brittain) Ladd, 84, of Des Moines, died Aug. 19, 1995, at the Mercy Hospital Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services were Aug. 22 at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Burial was at the North McDonald Cemetery.
She was born in Winterset on Feb. 15, 1911, to Robert and Julia (McKenze) Brittain. She had married Walter Ladd and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by two sons; three brothers and one sister.
Surviving relatives include two sons, Bill Ladd of Des Moines and Phil Ladd of Colfax; four daughters, Joan Ladd, Julia Kauffman and Diana Ladd, all of Des Moines, and Donna Flynn of Perry; one brother, Bill Brittain of Grand Junction; 20 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren
