1979Florence LaBron Rites Wednesday
Services for Mrs. Florence LaBron, 89, of Winterset were held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 20, at the First United Presbyterian Church with Rev. David Livingston officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery. Mrs. LaBron died Saturday, June 16, at Madison County Memorial Hospital.
The daughter of John and Matilda Hendricks Smith, she was born on April 12, 1890 at Linn Grove, Ia. On November 18, 1909, she was married to Robert LaBron at Spencer. They lived in Indianola before moving to Winterset 25 years ago. Mrs. LaBron was member of the First United Presbyterian Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert; her parents; a daughter, Dorothy Marie Thorpe; an infant son; a brother and seven sisters.
Surviving are a daughter, Gwendolyn Lindberg of Winterset; a sister, Angie Keen of Dysart; two grandchildren, including, Linda Wenger of Winterset, and three great-grandchildren.
