Funeral Friday For MRS. HARRY KENT

Funeral services for Mary Olive Kent will be held Friday afternoon, Nov. 13, at 2 o'clock from Richards Funeral Home in Winterset.

Mrs. Kent, a life-long resident of this community, died Tuesday evening at a Winterset nursing home. She was 90 years of age.

The daughter of John W. and Melissa Ballentine Roderick, she was born April 7, 1869 in Jefferson township of this county.

On June 6, 1894, she was married to Harry D. Kent, who preceded her in death one year ago.

Mrs. Kent was a charter member of the Crown Rebekah Lodge in Winterset, joining that organization when it was founded in 1896. She was also a long time member of the local Methodist church.

Surviving are three sons, Fred H. Kent of Sturgis, South Dakota, William and Harold, both of Winterset; one sister, Mrs. Alice Meyer of Van Meter; eight grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Officiating at the services this Friday afternoon will be the Rev. John C. Porath, pastor of the Winterset Methodist church. Burial will be in the Winterset cemetery.
