Max Kyner, Colorado

Max Kyner, 90, of Boulder, Colo., died of heart complications Dec. 17, 2004, at his home.

Max was born March 1, 1914, in Humeston to Fred Max and Blanche (Hayes) Kyner. On March 15, 1941 in Carrollton, Mo., he was united in marriage to Kathryn Elizabeth Tucker of Macksburg. He attended Simpson College for two years and worked at Ford Motor in Humeston. In 1947, he and his wife moved to Boulder, Colo., where he worked for Brandt Equipment. Max later worked for the city of Boulder as a water works operator, retiring in 1984. He was a member of the Bethany Baptist Church of Boulder and a veteran of World War II, serving with the 568th Air Corps in North Africa. He had been a Boy Scout leader receiving the Silver Beaver Award for 50 years of service. He also was the recipient of a 50-year certificate from the Grand Lodge of Free Masons.

He is survived by his wife Kathryn of Boulder, Colo.; two sons, James David Kyner of Denver, Colo., and Charles Douglas Kyner of Longmont, Colo.; and three grandchildren
