Lester Kuhns, Pleasanton, Calif.

Graveside services for Lester L. Kuhns, 57, of Pleasanton, Calif., who died November 26, will be Saturday, Dec. 3, at 11 a.m. at the Winterset cemetery with Rev. David Bauer officiating.

Born Dec. 1, 1930, at Orient, he was the son of Ernest B. and Merle Green Kuhns. He married Janice Hanson, June 3, 1951 in Greeley, Colorado. Janice died May 29, 1979. In November 1982, he married Dorothy Clark of Sacramento, Calif.

Lester was employed with New York Life Ins. Company for 31 years. He graduated from Winterset High and the University of Iowa.

Survivors include his wife, Dorothy; two daughters, Joni Summerfield and husband David of Moneca, Calif., and Jayne of Hayward, Calif., and one grandson, Mathew; also three step children and two step grandchildren of California; two sisters, Blanche Saunders of Nevada City, Calif. and Jean Baker of Winterset; three brothers, Harold of Des Moines; Ralph of Tucson, Ariz. and Robert of Winterset.

Memorials are to Hope Hospice or Miller Lillard Fund.
