Larry Eugene Tyer, Sr., 56, of Bentonville, Ark., died April 24, 1999, at UAMS Hospital in Little Rock, Ark.

A private service was held Saturday, May 1, at the family home. The body has been cremated.

Larry Tyer was born Nov. 22, 1942, in Grinnell to Calvin and Audrey Tyer. He lived in Iowa for 46 years before moving to Arkansas 10 years ago. He had resided in Bentonville for the past five years. Larry was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, having served in the Vietnam War. He also was a member of the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Adams-Tyer; his parents of Warsaw, Mo.; two daughters, Angela Wetrich of Earlham and Kimberly Tyer of Bentonville; four sons, Gail Tyer of Ames, Calvin Tyer of Creston, Larry Tyer Jr. of Bentonville, and Damon Ham of Winerset; two sisters, Judy Hansen of Newton and Linda Cunningham of Sioux Falls, S.D.; one brother, James Tyer of West Des Moines; and eight grandchildren.

Funeral arrangements were handled by Watson-Northcrest Funeral Home of North Little Rock, Ark.
