MARY TYER, Winterset

Funeral services for Mary Frances Tyer, 75, were Friday, Jan. 29, 1993, at the First United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David Bauer officiating. Mrs. Tyer died January 26, 1993, in her home. Burial as at North McDonald Cemetery.

She was born in Madison County on July 23, 1917, to Milo and Josie (Brittain) Hendricks. She married Roscoe Tyer on April 1, 1937,in Winterset.
She was a lifetime Winterset resident and a homemaker. She belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary and the Canasta Club.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one infant daughter, a brother and a sister; and one granddaughter.

Surviving relatives include a daughter, Gayla Coffman of West Des Moines; three sons, Richard, Gary, and Tom all of Winterset; two sisters, Mabel Parker and Shirley Hulbert, both of Winterset; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
