Anna Kordick, Des Moines

Anna C. Kordick of Des Moines died Dec. 12 at Bishop Drumm Care Center at the age of 93. Funeral services were held Monday, Dec. 16 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Des Moines with the Rev. James Laurenzo, the Rev. John Gorman and the Rev. Maurice Schulte con-celebrating the funeral mass. Burial was at Glendale Cemetery in Des Moines.

Born on Nov. 19, 1892 at Bridgewater, she was the daughter of George and Anna Schreiner. She was married to Leo Kordick on Oct. 25, 1916 at Bridgewater. He preceded her in death.

The couple lived in Scott Township of Madison County from 1917 until 1939, then moved to Woodward and had lived in Des Moines since 1957. She was a member of the Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Bishop Drumm Care Center Guild and the Dowling Club.

She is survived by sons, John of Kansas City, Kan., Joe of Woodward, Charles of Winterset and Leo of West Des Moines; daughters, Evonne Brimmer of Warren, Mich., Theresa O'Roake of Colfax, Sister Dorothy Kordick of Tucson, Ariz., and Sister Rose Kordick of Minneapolis, Minn.; 30 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, an infant son, four sisters and six brothers.
