Services for Scott E. Knouf, 73, Winterset, who died Jan. 13 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines, were held Wednesday, Jan. 16 at St. Paul Lutheran Church with the Rev. Charles Miller officiating. Burial was at the Winterset Cemetery.
Born at Fontanelle on April 11, 1912, he was the son of Scott and Clarabelle James Knouf.
Mr. Knouf was a long-time barber in Winterset. He had lived here since 1946, coming from Seattle, Wash. He was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church; American Legion; VFW; Kiwanis; and Masonic Lodge.
On April 26, 1936, he married Ina Truckenbrod of Greenfield.
Survivors include his wife and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
