Dorothy Knight, Winterset

Dorothy Knight, 81, of Winterset died of respiratory failure Nov. 21, 2000, at Winterset Care Center North.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 24, at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset with Pastor Robert Barrick officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 22, at the funeral home where the family will receive friends during that time. Burial will be at Winterset Cemetery.

Dorothy Knight was born Oct. 13, 1919, in Madison County to Claude and Grace (Borden) Hope. She married Charles Knight on April 29, 1961, in Des Moines. Her first husband, Tom Bush, preceded her in death in 1956. Dorothy was a beautician for 30 years, owning the Style-A-Rama Beauty Shop in Winterset. She also was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Winterset.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, her parents, a son, a daughter, four brothers and four sisters.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Knight; a son, Duane Bush (wife Marilyn) of Winterset; a son-in-law, Steve Chandler of Winterset; a brother, Leland Hope (wife Mary) of Winterset; 11 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Middle River Hospice in Winterset.
