MRS. DESSA KNIGHT DIED SATURDAY

Mrs. Dessa R. Knight, formerly of Macksburg, died Saturday Oct. 28th at the home of her daughter, Mrs. George McGinnis of near Adel. She was 64 years of age. Her death followed an extended illness.

Mrs. Knight was born May 10, 1889 at Macksburg, a daughter of William and Maria Herr Rowe. She was married Aug. 5, 1907 at Creston to Oren E. Knight. They were parents of two daughters, Gertrude and Eileen. One daughter, Eileen, preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Macksburg Methodist church transferring only recently to the Lorimor Methodist church. She was affilitated with the Order of Eastern Star, Royal Neighbors, Macksburg Woman's Relief Corps and the Lorimor Federated Women's club.

She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. McGinnis; one grandson; and a brother, Maurice Rowe of Washington. D.C.

Funeral services were held Sunday from the Lorimor Methodist church, conducted by the Rev. C. M. Rowe. Burial was made in the Moon cemetery at Macksburg.
