Cleona F. Knapp, 87, of Des Moines died of complications of cancer Dec. 22, 2001 at Fountain West Health Care Center in West Des Moines.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, Dec. 26, at Westover Funeral Home in Des Moines. Burial was at Chapel Hill Gardens Cemetery.
Cleona Knapp was born Jan. 24, 1914, in Madison County to Frank and Edith (Spurgin) Neidt. She married Lester Knapp in 1942. Cleona was a retired office manager and a member of Knox United Presbyterian Church. She had lived in Des Moines all of her adult life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers.
She is survived by two sons, Lorin Knapp of Des Moines and Owen Knapp of West Des Moines; a sister, Mary Evelyn Brandt of Truro; and a sister-in-law, Esther Neidt of Truro.
