LELAND TURNQUIST, Branson, Mo.

Services for Leland Turnquist, 83, Branson, Mo., who died of cancer March 13, 1985, at Scaggs Memorial Hospital in Branson, were held at the E.K. George Grand View Chapel on March 15. Masonic Services were also held and graveside services were held at the Belton Cemetery at Branson. Memorial services were held at Branson on March 16.

Born on July 27, 1901 in Marion County, Iowa, he was the son of William and Roxie Turnquist. He married Margaret Vaughn, who preceded him in death in 1969.

He was a former Winterset resident and had lived in Kansas City for several years. He was a sales representative for Newton Manufacturing Co., Newton, Iowa, for 33 years. He was a member of the Grandview Masonic Lodge and First Christian Church.

Survivors include daughters, Marianne Hemkin, Beulah, Colo., and Shirley Iski, Grand View, Mo.; sisters, Mildred L. Rasmussen, Las Vegas, Nev., Ireta Lee, Claremont, Calif., and Oleta Allen, Winterset; four grandsons and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, two brothers, a sister and a granddaughter.
