Klingaman Funeral Held At Redfield

Joseph H. Klingaman, formerly of Winterset, died at his Redfield home on Thursday, July 26, at the age of 72. Funeral services were held Saturday, July 28, at the Redfield Methodist Church with burial in Wiscotta Cemetery.

The son of Charles Curtis and Mary A. Klingaman, he was born on March 29, 1907 in Webster township. He attended Happy Hollow Rural School and graduated from Winterset High School.

Mr. Klingaman was married to Dorothy Harrison and they farmed in Madison County before moving to Stuart and later the Waukee-Redfield area.

Surviving are his wife Dorothy; two daughters, Katherine Hadley and Jean Hanes, both of Colorado; two sisters, Ora Sorenson of Florida and Ethel Eyerly of Des Moines; three brothers, Emory of Slater, George of Colorado and Irvin of Winterset; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Esther.
